Helping Hands

Mrs. Zion’s 8th grade reading class had a 4-legged visitor last week. In conjunction with an article that the 8th graders read in class titled, “Helping Hands,”  Mrs. Zion invited Jim Wagner and a service dog named Clay from Perfect Fit Canines. Mr. Wagner talked with our 8th graders about how dogs are trained to help people with social, emotional or physical needs.

Special thanks to Perfect Fit Canines, Mr. Wagner, and Clay for making this such an authentic learning experience for our students!
