Musical Talents Abound at Neshannock

PMEA District 5 Choir Festival

The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association — PMEA — held its annual District 5 Choir Festival January 12-14, 2017, at Hickory High School in Hermitage, PA.  Brandon Acosta represented Neshannock at the event.  While there, he auditioned successfully for the Region level and will be attending Region Choir at the end of February.  Brandon is the first student from Neshannock to be selected for Region Choir in eight years. Congratulations, Brandon!


PMEA Junior High Choir Festival

The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association — PMEA — held the 2017 Junior High Choir Festival on January 20, 2017.  One seventh grader, two eighth graders, and six ninth graders were selected to attend the festival, which concluded with a concert that evening.  Christian Golub, Olivia Magusiak, Katie Walzer, Kadriye Tanyel, Ryan Rich, Hannah Veronesi, Michael McVay, Philip Schaville, and Sydney Snow (not pictured) were chosen to represent Neshannock.  Congratulations to all of the Junior High Choir students!


Lawrence County Elementary All-Star Band

Eight Neshannock sixth graders were chosen to participate at the annual Lawrence County Elementary All-Star Band Festival, which was held January 19, 2017, at Shenango High School. Tessa Runninger, Dove Corrette-Bennett, Carter Brooks, Joseph Lepore, Jacob Walzer, Joey Martin, Drew Frank, and Brendan Geiger joined elementary students from all over the county to rehearse and perform a wonderful concert that evening. Congratulations to all of the students involved!
