Dear Lancer Community:

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Neshannock Township School District. The District prides itself on academic excellence and a comprehensive activities program. This has been validated through years of successful experiences of our many distinguished alumni.

This year we will be graduating the Class of 2018 and welcoming the Class of 2030 into our Kindergarten program. Our teachers have been working very hard to plan a well-developed curriculum that is aligned from grade-to-grade and subject-to-subject. We are committed to making certain that every student has a memorable year filled with positive academic and social growth.

We continue to integrate new instructional technology at all grade levels. Our new wireless campus-wide network infrastructure will be a tremendous asset to the District. While the technology advancements are critical and certainly part of our focus, there is no better resource than effective teaching. Our teachers attend regular, on-going staff development programs to remain current in advanced approaches to instruction and learning. Our teacher in-service schedule has been developed to provide time for teachers to truly reach deeper into each initiative that we present.

Throughout the year we encourage parent and family involvement in our various activities and programs at the Elementary, Junior High and Senior High. There are so many opportunities for parents to attend and provide assistance. Please take advantage of any chance you have to be part of your child’s education. We certainly recognize and embrace the partnership between home and school.

Best wishes to all families for a great school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me for additional information or to schedule a tour of the District.
It truly is a great time to be a Lancer!

Sincerely,

Dr. Terence P. Meehan
