The Class of 2024 will soon walk across the auditorium stage to receive their well-earned high school diplomas in Neshannock High School’s 65th Commencement ceremony. While this milestone event is often a bittersweet, we have much to celebrate as our students embark on new beginnings.
Distinguished alumnus, Matthew Cusick, NHS Class of 2002, will deliver words of wisdom to the Class of 2024 as our Commencement speaker.
Matthew and his family, wife Franzi and sons Joey and Jack, reside in Palo Alto, California, where he works as a psychotherapist. Matt’s path to his profession was non-traditional, which has allowed him to develop a unique perspective and deep compassion for life’s ups and downs. Matt’s lived experiences include those of a high school wellness counselor in California, navigating beyond a failed start-up in Germany, living as an immigrant in Switzerland, working as a Facebook manager in Palo Alto and Dublin, studying in Moscow, and competing as a student athlete at Stanford University. As a corporate leader, Matt built Facebook’s first international office in Dublin, Ireland – growing it to 240 employees. As a therapist, he has worked with tech executives, athletes, artists, teachers, parents, teens, and families. We look forward to welcoming Mr. Cusick back to his alma mater.
